Me and Hermana Harker in Montevideo at the Council |
Season 3 Episode 22
"Sanovich and Harker go GREEN???"
Hello friends and Family how are you all?
This week we started of by going to Montevideo to have concilio/council for this change and it was a great chance to learn and to talk about the plan for the mission and the direction we are wanting to go. We talked a lot about being spiritual giants and the Spirit is probably the most important part of being a missionary. It has been amazing to look for and recognize the spirit in the lessons and experiences that we have had this past week. Here are some of the people that we found and have been teaching this week.
Daiana - She has been such a miracle this week. We have been teaching her almost every single day this week to help her meet her baptismal goal of the 4th of November. After an awesome lesson we had combined with the Elders we were able to teach her everything and she passed her interview to get baptized and will be getting baptized this coming Saturday! We could not be happier to help her grow closer to God and to take such a big step in her life.
The Jóvenes - This week we were able to find three solid investigators who all are in the age to be future Elders and to be future Priesthood holders here in our ward in Chico2. It is really what this ward needs and we are happy to be helping them learn more about the Gospel and hopefully helping them become part of the church.
FLIA Lea lRodriguez - They are the family that we taught about the plan of Salvation last week that had a bunch of questions about the Gospel. This week we helped one of their daughters who is 18 with an English assignment and it was quite the challenge to try and have a good sounding English Paper (wish me luck in college English). However, while we were helping her with her English her boyfriend showed up and she just wanted us to share with him everything that we have been sharing with them.So like any good missionaries that is exactly what we did! He is super cool and we are looking forward to helping the entire family come to church this upcoming week.
STAKE dance - WE had the chance to help the youth set up a country theme dance. We also had the chance to take the LealRodriguez family to it so that they could meet the ward and see the church. It was a great chance for them to see how "normal" we are. They were convinced that missionaries lived in the church and that the members of the church only listened to the churches music. We were happy to see that something as simple as a dance could help them understand the church a little more.
Valdriana - This was our last lesson this week that we found because we were a little lost looking for a new street we had never visited. She was outside and we asked her for directions, and then before I knew it she invited us to go inside and teach her. The spirit was so strong the entire time that we were teaching and we both were really excited to be able to visit her more and answer more of her questions. However, she told us (after being one of the most involved investigators ever) she didn't really want us to come by...but would call us. She told us that she felt peace talking to us and wanted to know more but in the end changed her mind. Agency folks.
